പാലക്കാട് : ഡിവൈഎഫ്ഐ പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറി ജയദേവന്റെ പരസ്ത്രീ ബന്ധം പുറത്തുവന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് എതിരെ വേറിട്ട പ്രതിഷേധവുമായി കോൺഗ്രസ് പ്രവർത്തകർ.
ജയദേവനെ കോഴിയായി ചിത്രീകരിക്കുന്ന കോലവുമായി എത്തിയ പ്രവർത്തകർ ആ കോലത്തെ ബസ് കയറ്റി പാലക്കാട് വണ്ടിത്താവളം കല്യാണ പേട്ടയിൽ ഉള്ള ജയദേവന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുന്ന സമരമാണ് നടത്തിയത്.
ജയദേവൻ വിഷയത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ഭാര്യക്ക് ഒപ്പമാണെന്നും അതിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണ് പ്രതിഷേധം എന്നും കോൺഗ്രസ് പ്രവർത്തകർ പറഞ്ഞു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ഭാര്യ സിപിഎം സംസ്ഥാന നേതൃത്വത്തിന് പരാതി നൽകിയത് അവർ ജില്ലാ നേതൃത്വത്തിന് കൈമാറി നാലുമാസം കഴിഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ വിഷയത്തിൽ യാതൊരു നടപടിയും ഉണ്ടായില്ല. സിപിഎം ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറിയാണ് ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ഹെഡ്മാഷ് . പാർട്ടിക്ക് കിട്ടിയ പരാതി പോലീസിന് നൽകണമെന്ന് കോൺഗ്രസ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. പാലക്കാട്ടെ മുൻ കോൺഗ്രസ് എംഎൽഎക്കെതിരെ ഒരു പരാതി പോലും ഇല്ലാത്ത സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ പോലും വലിയ പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങൾ നടത്തിയ ഡിവൈഎഫ്ഐയും മഹിളാ അസോസിയേഷനും മൗനം വെടിയണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ ബിജെപി പ്രതിഷേധിക്കാത്തത് സിപിഎം ബിജെപി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണെന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. പാലക്കാട് ടൗൺ ബ്ലോക്ക് കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഡി.സി.സി ഓഫീസിൽ നിന്നും സ്റ്റേഡിയം ബസ് സ്റ്റാൻ്റ് പരിസരത്തേക്ക് ഡി വൈഎഫ്ഐ ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറിയുടെ ചിത്രവും പൂവൻകോഴിയുടെ ചിത്രവും വെച്ച് തയ്യാറാക്കിയ കോലവുമായി പ്രതിഷേധ പ്രകടനം നടത്തി. പ്രകടനം ഡി.സി.സി ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി കെ. ഭവദാസ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു ബ്ലോക്ക് കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് സി.വി സതീഷ് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു, നേതാക്കളായ വി.മോഹൻ, ഹരിദാസ് മച്ചിങ്ങൽ, വി.ആറുമുഖൻ, അബു പാലക്കാടൻ, പി.എം ശ്രീവത്സൻ,
മണ്ഡലം പ്രസിഡൻ്റുമാരായ രമേശ് പുത്തൂർ, എസ്.സേവ്യർ, അനിൽ ബാലൻ, ഭാരവാഹികളായ കെ.ടി സഹദേവൻ, എച്ച്.എസത്താർ, എം.കെ സിദ്ധാർത്ഥൻ, ചന്ദ്രൻ അങ്കാര പറമ്പ്, കാജാ എച്ച്. ജൈലാവുദ്ധിൻ, കെ.അനീഷ്, എ.സലീം, രാധ ശിവദാസ് നഗരസഭാ അംഗങ്ങളായ മോഹൻ ബാബു, പി.എസ്. വിബിൻ,ഷെറീഫ് റഹ്മാൻ, ശിഹാബുദ്ധീൻ, മുരളി എലന്തിയൻ കാട്,കെ.പ്രതിഭ, എന്നിവർ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു,
Palakkad: Congress workers staged a unique protest against DYFI Palakkad district secretary Jayadevan, following allegations of an extramarital relationship involving him. The protesters carried an effigy depicting Jayadevan as a rooster and transported it by bus to his residence at Kalyanapetta in Vandithavalam, Palakkad.
The protest was organised under the leadership of the Palakkad Town Block Congress Committee. The effigy, featuring images of the DYFI district secretary and a rooster, was taken in a protest march from the DCC office to the Stadium Bus Stand area.
Congress workers said they stand with Jayadevan’s wife in the matter. They alleged that a complaint submitted by his wife to the CPM state leadership had been forwarded to the district leadership four months ago, but no action had been taken.
The protesters demanded that the complaint received by the party be handed over to the police for investigation. They also called upon the CPM district secretary, whom they described as responsible for the matter, to take action.
Congress workers further demanded that the DYFI and All India Democratic Women’s Association, which had staged strong protests even when there were no complaints against a former Congress MLA in Palakkad, break their silence on the issue.
They also alleged that the BJP’s silence on the matter was part of a CPM-BJP nexus.
DCC general secretary K. Bhavadas inaugurated the protest march. Block Congress president C.V. Satheesh presided.
V. Mohan, Haridas Machingal, V. Arumughan, Abu Palakkadan, P.M. Sreevalsan, mandalam presidents Ramesh Puthoor, S. Xavier and Anil Balan, and office-bearers K.T. Sahadevan, H.S. Athar, M.K. Sidharthan, Chandran Angarapparambu, Kaja H. Jailavuddin, K. Aneesh, A. Saleem and Radha Sivadas, along with municipal councillors Mohan Babu, P.S. Vibin, Shareef Rahman, Shihabuddin, Murali Elanthiyankad and K. Prathibha, participated in the protest.
